Our Founder

Emily Champion, M.A. CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Oceanside Speech Co. With over 15 years of experience working across school-based, outpatient clinical, and higher-education settings, Emily specializes in pediatric speech and language therapy for children ages 2–17.

Emily believes that children learn best when therapy meets them where they are — in the middle of play, creativity, and real-life connection. Her approach weaves functional speech therapy goals into the activities children genuinely love: yoga and movement, cooking and sensory exploration, outdoor play, and nature-based discovery.

Beyond building communication skills, Emily's sessions support the whole child — fostering social connection, emotional regulation, and the confidence to engage fully in everyday life.

Our Practice

Oceanside Speech Co. is a pediatric speech therapy practice rooted in the belief that real growth happens in real life.

We take a Functional Speech Therapy approach — embedding evidence-based goals into the natural environments and engaging activities that children already enjoy. From yoga and mindful movement to cooking classes, outdoor play, and nature exploration, every session is designed to build skills that go far beyond speech: social connection, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and sensory integration.

Our therapists work collaboratively with families, educators, and care teams to ensure the progress made in sessions carries over into school, home, and community life. Because that's where it matters most.
